Learning EvaluationSpecialist 6 month initial hybrid role working from one of our Regional Centres Position Overview : The Learning Evaluation Specialist is responsible for assessing the effectiveness of learning programmes, initiatives, and technologies to ensure they deliver measurable value and align with organisational objectives. Through the use of evaluation frameworks, data analysis, and stakeholder collaboration, the specialist will drive continuous improvement and demonstrate the impact of learning interventions on individual and organisational performance. Key Responsibilities Evaluation Strategy Develop and implement robust evaluation frameworks to assess the effectiveness of learning programmes, courses, and interventions. Align evaluation strategies with organisational goals, key performance indicators (KPIs), and learner success metrics. Advocate for evidence-based decision-making in the design and delivery of learning initiatives. Data Collection and Analysis Collect qualitative and quantitative data from surveys, focus groups, interviews, learning management systems, and other relevant sources. Analyse data to measure learning outcomes, learner satisfaction, knowledge retention, skill acquisition, and behavioural change. Identify trends, strengths, and areas for improvement in learning programmes. Reporting and Insights Create clear, actionable reports and dashboards to communicate evaluation findings to stakeholders at all levels. Present data-driven insights to leadership teams to guide decision-making and resource allocation. Highlight the return on investment (ROI) and impact of learning programmes on organisational performance. Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement Work closely with instructional designers, trainers, and programme managers to incorporate evaluation findings into programme design and delivery. Partner with organisational leaders to ensure alignment between evaluation efforts and strategic priorities. Conduct workshops and briefings to help stakeholders understand evaluation findings and their implications. Continuous Improvement Recommend enhancements to learning programmes based on evaluation outcomes and stakeholder feedback. Stay informed on best practices and emerging trends in learning evaluation and integrate these into HMRCs approach. Drive innovation by exploring new tools, methodologies, and technologies for learning evaluation. Compliance and Ethics Ensure that all evaluation activities comply with ethical standards and relevant data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR). Promote transparency and fairness in the evaluation process, ensuring that all stakeholders understand the purpose and use of evaluation data. Person Specification Essential Qualifications and Experience Proven experience in evaluating learning programmes or organisational development initiatives. Strong expertise in designing and implementing evaluation frameworks (e.g., Kirkpatrick Model, Phillips ROI, or similar). Proficiency in analysing and interpreting data using tools such as Excel, SPSS, Power BI, Tableau, or similar. Desirable Qualifications and Experience Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and their data analytics features. Familiarity with employee performance metrics and organisational development models. Skills and Attributes Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills, with attention to detail and accuracy. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex findings in a clear and concise manner.
