Process Leader - Fixed Term Contract 6-12 months (Potential to become permanent) Redditch, B97 £48,500 per annum Monday-Friday (potential weekend work occasionally required) Profile The Process Leader is accountable for driving consistent standards, rigorous performance improvements across all departments and customer satisfaction by delivering products on time in full, from a vertically integrated process stream. Responsive to customer / supplier demands and NPI's and proactive in moving the business forward. Scope and Responsibilities: Responsible for a process stream within one of four business units – Structural, Aerostructures, Precision, Machining, from raw material input to delivery and invoicing Headcount ranging from circa 15 – 50 heads Managing and motivating Process Team Leaders, and process operatives Operating budget will include: Payroll Consumables Tooling Sub Contract Overtime Business Planning: Load & Capacity SIOP (Sales Investment Operations Planning) OPE Performance Management / Production System: People management, absence, productivity, skills, training Machines – Asset care / Die Care Methods – Standard Operations Material – Production plan, Flow, Logistics, inventory Delivery metrics – OTIF (On time in full), Arrears reduction, Customer satisfaction, Business unit costs and revenue output in line with budgets, build and maintain buffer stocks Standardisation of process and consistent application Working environment – compliance to Company Policy and EHS directives. Leading, setting standards, guiding and coaching in line with vision mission values Responsible for the process stream 24/7 Working with COA's to provide accurate and reliable feedback to customers Meeting with customers NPI in line with project management policy milestones Skills and Qualifications: HN qualification in Mechanical / Production Engineering / Business Analysis (Preferred but not essential) Extensive knowledge / experience leading large scale industrial, complex operations Proven track record with a successful portfolio of achievements Safety: Compliance with EHS and legislative standards Compliance with PPE and all other safety policies and procedures Promotes safe working practices Participate in risk assessment and “near miss” risk mitigation activities Quality: Ensuring the service provided is of the highest standard Carrying out tasks right first time to the required standard Delivery Carrying out tasks in the appropriate timeframe Conclusion of tasks on time and to the required standard Schedule adherence (MPS) Build to plan in sequence Customer OTIF Launch to plan Overall Equipment Effectiveness Cost Proactively identifying cost saving measures ensuring no detriment to any services provided Sales revenue Value Add Operating Budget Capital Investment Cost of Non Quality Overall People Effectiveness People: Professional standards of written and verbal communication between internal and external customers Works in compliance with all company policies and procedures Succession Planning PDR Learning & Development General Competencies: Health & safety awareness Planning and Project Management Problem solving Lean tool deployment Strategy deployment IT skills
