Lead Engineer
We require a skilled Lead Engineer to undertake proactive maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of heavy machinery within our geographical area. This includes hydraulic excavators, articulated haulers, wheeled loaders, dozers, rollers, crushers, and screens.
This workshop-based and mobile role requires a driven and enthusiastic individual to meet the following criteria:
* NVQ level 3 plant maintenance or equivalent qualification is essential.
* The ideal candidate will possess product knowledge on Cat, Volvo, Finlay, Gipo, and Metso equipment.
* Proven diagnostic experience in electrical and hydraulic systems, as well as aftertreatment systems.
* Ability to utilize manufacturer diagnostic tools, such as Cat ET and Volvo Tech Tool.
* Proficiency in IT applications is necessary.
* A strong attitude towards health and safety is required.
* Competence in completing detailed risk assessments and method statements is essential.
* Mentoring junior engineers and apprentices is a key aspect of this role.
* Effective communication with managers regarding onsite requirements and breakdowns is crucial.
* Compilation of parts lists using manufacturers' platforms, such as Cat SIS and Volvo Prosis, is also required.
* Leadership in complex multi-engineer tasks is expected.
* Able to work independently or as part of a team.
* Previous quarry experience is highly desirable.
* A team player with excellent communication skills is essential.
Preferred qualifications include Slinger/signaller, MEWP, and Confined Space Training certifications.
The successful candidate can expect a salary range of £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
