Our client is a small, independent, employee-owned environmental consultancy based in Oxfordshire, specialising in air quality monitoring, consultancy, and assessment. As an employee-owned business, they operate with a strong focus on collaboration, professionalism, and scientific integrity.
Our client is seeking an early career Air Quality Consultant to support their consultancy team in delivering expert dust, odour, air quality, and climate change assessments.
The role will primarily involve desk-based assessments using predictive models such as ADMS Roads and ADMS Point Source Modelling to support planning applications.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with an interest in environmental consultancy, air quality, and data analysis. The role will involve:
* Supporting the delivery of air quality and climate change assessments for planning and regulatory purposes
* Conducting predictive modelling using ADMS Roads and ADMS Point Source (training provided)
* Assisting in project management, including preparing quotes and managing data collection and analysis
* Occasionally visiting client sites to advise on industries and operations
* Providing support in other business areas, such as laboratory work, including optical microscopy
Key Requirements
* A-Level Maths (or equivalent) is essential
* Minimum 2:1 BSc/BEng or MSc in a relevant field (Environmental Science, Geography, Meteorology, etc.)
* Preferably 1-2 years of consultancy experience (relevant placements and internships will be considered)
* Experience with GIS software and data analysis desirable
* Familiarity with ADMS Roads or air quality dispersion modelling beneficial (training provided)
* Experience using Python or R is advantageous
* Laboratory skills, including optical microscopy, desirable
