Job Title: Space Systems Structural Analyst - Stevenage
Summary:
A challenging opportunity to work with brilliant minds in the space domain. The role involves delivering Finite Element studies and analytical stress reports applied to Space Systems, such as satellite panels, structural assemblies, equipment, and ground support equipment.
Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
* Understand and study stress analysis workflow, as prescribed by customer.
* Finite Elements analysis, including modifying/adapting geometry, developing/updating models, performing verification/validation activities, running simulations, and post-processing results.
* Perform analytical stress calculations using textbook-based or prescribed methods and tools.
* Presentation and reporting of progress and results, both internally and externally.
* Writing technical reports.
* Contributing to working sessions with designers regarding structural results and design iterations.
Requirements:
* Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in an engineering or scientific discipline, ideally Mechanical.
* Experience of stress engineering in aerospace.
* Familiarity with HYPERWORKS and NASTRAN for FE modelling and analysis.
* Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes desirable.
* Ability to work quickly and accurately to follow client needs.
* Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
