Job Title: Engineering Manager – Electrical (Control & Instrumentation)
We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our team of engineers in the development of a platform manoeuvring solution.
Your Responsibilities:
* Lead a team of engineers in the development of a platform manoeuvring solution going the full length of the product lifecycle.
* Report to the Senior Engineering Manager and be responsible for realising and delivering the engineering design for a vehicle control system utilising agile toolsets.
* Develop and maintain the competency and skills of the team with varying levels of expertise, experience and levels helping them become competent.
* Liaise with internal stakeholders (within programme) and external stakeholders (wider BAE-S & Customer) and external suppliers to foster a collaborative, dynamic working relationship.
* Engage with suppliers and manage engineering requirements, deliverables, and ultimately acceptance of work leading to a design description of a future vehicle control system, relevant sub-systems and equipment.
* Engage with legacy stakeholders in the development of a technical solution from a known baseline design.
Your Skills and Experience:
* Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Control or Instrumentation Engineering.
* Experience of architecting electronic systems such as vehicle control systems, navigational control systems, etc.
* Proven track record of leading and inspiring engineering teams to work across the product lifecycle.
* Knowledge of applying safety and security standards to engineering products.
* In-depth knowledge of one of the following: design and deployment of complex control solutions, manoeuvring architectures, or vehicle design.

The Submarine Solutions Team:
You will be helping to define and shape the design of the Royal Navy's next generation attack class submarine and working to implement novel internal communications technology and concepts whilst collaborating with colleagues within the Integrated Combat Systems business, wider stakeholders, suppliers, and the Royal Navy.
