Job Description
We are looking for a Technician to join the Integrity Monitoring business unit within ICR, based in Aberdeen. This is a workshop-based role, with regular offshore and international travel required.
The Technician will work with the integrity monitoring solutions team to deliver corrosion monitoring services in accordance with Company and business unit goals and objectives.
This role will report to the Operations Manager.
The main tasks include, but are not limited to:
* Participate in workshop activities based in the Aberdeen workshop, preparing equipment and materials for upcoming work scopes.
* Attending client sites to complete work scopes including various corrosion monitoring and microbiology surveys, and additional ad-hoc requirements.
* Assisting with technical reporting and analysis.
* Implementation and reviewing of all job specific work packs, risk assessments, procedures, work instructions and method statements.
* Assist with maintenance of technical procedures and work instructions.
* Liaise with the operations team as and when required to assist with workshop duties and routine equipment maintenance, testing and job preparation.
* Project related support, kit lists, registers, purchasing, logistics, updating stock, etc.
* Contribute to daily operations meetings and improvement sessions.
* Daily progress updates on work scope to onshore operations team.
* Assist with general workshop duties including supporting other services lines within ICR.
* Comply with the Company Quality and Health and Safety procedures.
* Ensure good, safe working practices in the workshop are maintained at all times with compliance to the Company's HSE policies.
Key Skills, Attributes and Experience:
* Valid BOSIET / FOET Offshore Survival
* Valid OGUK Medical Certificate
* Valid Minimum Industrial Safety Training (MIST)
* Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of intrusive and non-intrusive corrosion monitoring techniques.
* Experienced Mechanical background (desirable)
* Demonstrable inspection background (desirable)
* Demonstrable NDT background (desirable)
