An exciting opportunity has arisen in the UK and Ireland Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) Team for a Health & Safety Advisor. This role will report into the HSEQ Director working closely with employees at all levels across the organisation to support the needs of the business with a primary focus on health and safety. The post holder will work closely with the HSEQ Director, Safety Leads, EMEA PLAN Lead, EMEA HSEQ Director, SUBS Champion, H & S Advisors, and internal stakeholders. This role would be ideal for someone who is looking to progress their career utilising their current skills, knowledge, and experiences to support ERM's continuous improvement. Primary accountabilities Managing and maintaining the ERM Safety Management System to facilitate the proactive and effective management of H&S within ERM including internal audit, and Teams mentoring or support where required. Become a 'EHASP superuser' & Hasp Reviewer with ability to coach, develop, influence stakeholders, review and develop risk assessments. Support SUBS Champion role and training needs (5%). Designing and delivering new HSEQ Initiatives such as Driver Safety, Insect Bite Prevention, International Travel & 3rd Party Support. Developing, preparing and updating HSEQ policies, training materials, procedures, department presentations for stakeholders within EMEA & NEBU Keeping abreast of new legislation and maintaining a working knowledge, specifically relating to any developments that may have an impact on ERM's work activities. Investigate incidents, near misses, stop work authority and observations and supporting development of safety shares to avoid recurrence. Person specification Has a minimum of 3 years' experience working in project related safety/ risk assessments/ project planning. NEBOSH General Certification qualified Preferred, not essential - if not yet achieved, willing to work towards Has previous experience in H&S Management Systems Excellent written and spoken communication skills, in order to explain requirements to employees across all levels, to deliver presentations and training to large groups.
