Vacancy Type: Permanent Job Reference: SOLOJSS ABOUT THE ROLE I am a happy, fun, young 18-year-old lady with CHARGE syndrome and complex health needs which affect my daily living. My team supports me within my family home providing me with waking nights to enable my parents to rest. I am registered deafblind and nonverbal which can make communication difficult. I am looking for an individual with a caring, patient nature to join my team and get to know me, understanding my complex needs and ways of communicating as well as respecting my family home. ABOUT YOU You will need to be calm, friendly and fun, flexible and unphased by my health needs and situations which you may need to support me with. I require 1:1 waking night support to ensure I remain safe and well overnight whilst supporting me with my complex respiratory needs, PEG feeding and personal care which you will learn about. You will be supported by the team and will get to know my unique set of requirements, covering all personal and medical care supporting with my overnight needs & household tasks, as well as simply getting to know me at my own pace and supporting me to remain happy and safe. You will be required to get to know myself and the team- through meetings, shadowing, and a bespoke training programme. You will receive all mandatory training and specialised training annually.
