Position: HR Advisor
Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Location: Huddersfield
Hays HR are currently supporting a client in Huddersfield to recruit a HR Advisor to join the team on a permanent basis. This is a standalone role providing generalist support to a headcount of 100. The company has plans to grow within the next 12 months, so there is an opportunity to progress within this role.
As an integral part of the team, you will build strong and credible relationships with colleagues and managers across the site.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Managing all ER casework.
2. Managing recruitment from advert through to offer and onboarding.
3. Managing and processing HR-related documentation, including contracts of employment and amendments.
4. Create and maintain all HR policies.
5. Keep all staff updated on procedures and providing support and advice to all staff on policies.
6. Coaching all line managers.
7. Monitoring and reporting on absence.
Skills and Experience:
1. Previous experience in a similar role or as an established HR/People Advisor looking for progression.
2. Experience providing relevant advice on policy and process to line managers and colleagues.
3. Previous experience with ER casework.
4. Ability to influence and coach managers to handle difficult conversations and make informed decisions.
5. Ability to work in a standalone role.
