Role Overview:
As a Factory Manager, you will be at the helm of production operations which sorts 100 tonnes of recycled material per day, ensuring that customer expectations are met in terms of quality, cost, and timely delivery. Reporting to the General Manager, you will oversee Health & Safety, Production and Engineering, Quality Control, and Continuous Improvement. Your leadership will be pivotal in fostering a culture of safety, quality, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities of the Factory Manager:
Health & Safety: Maintain rigorous safety standards, conduct audits, and promote a culture of safety.
Leadership & Team Management: Empower and mentor your team (4 direct reports/ 250 staff in production in total), fostering a quality-driven culture.
Production Management: Ensure cost-effective production, drive KPIs, and optimise labour costs.
Quality Control: Monitor production quality, enforce checks, and implement corrective actions.
Engineering & Maintenance: Collaborate with the engineering team to minimise downtime and enhance equipment reliability.
Training & Development: Ensure staff possess necessary skills, conduct assessments, and oversee training plans.
Cost Control: Implement strategies to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and meet budgetary targets.
Skills Required:
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Strong knowledge of HSE regulations.
Data-driven decision-making abilities.
Experience in Lean Manufacturing and Change Management along with operational excellence.
Ability to foster a culture of safety and accountability.
Experience and Qualifications:
Proven experience in production management within a manufacturing environment.
HNC-level qualification or higher in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
Hands-on experience with ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001).
Deep understanding of workplace safety and compliance.
