Internal Technical Sales Engineer – Sensor Sales
Location: Northamptonshire
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 (DOE) + Performance Bonus

We are seeking a proactive and technically minded Internal Technical Sales Engineer to join our growing sales team. This role involves supporting the sales of industrial sensor solutions across a range of industries, including Automation, Process/Packaging, Medical, Aerospace, Defence, Marine, and Oil & Gas.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide technical support and guidance on sensor applications to customers
* Assist external sales engineers with quotations and follow-ups
* Identify new business opportunities through a proactive sales approach
* Manage and develop existing accounts with regular communication
* Collaborate closely with the external sales team on all sales activities
* Conduct market research to target new sectors and decision-makers
* Maintain CRM records of sales activities and customer interactions
* Attend exhibitions and sales meetings as required
What We’re Looking For:
* Previous internal sales experience
* Technical background in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (qualifications preferred)
* Experience using a CRM system
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills
* Team player with the ability to liaise at all levels
* Attention to detail with an accurate and methodical approach
* Self-motivated, proactive, and creative thinker with a drive to succeed
