Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented and motivated Production Operative (Extrusion) Night Shift to join our dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensuring compliance with the Company Environmental, Health, Safety and Sustainability Policies, reporting any potentially dangerous issues/faults to your direct Team Leader or Production Manager including but not limited to maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
* To ensure quality products are produced in the required quantity, on time, and at the lowest possible cost, in a manner in keeping with the Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental policies and procedures of the company.
* Demonstrate a positive attitude to training and personal development.
* Monitor the performance of the process ensuring maximum output is achieved at all times.
* Carry out and document the correct quality control checks for each job performed, completing all production paperwork.
* Work as a team to ensure departmental targets, company targets and customer deadlines are achieved.
* Adhere to correct procedures.
* Ensure that all documentation is completed at the correct time.
* Adhere to safe working practices at all times.
* To perform the necessary safety checks to ensure the integrity and effectiveness of the department and to operate in a manner conversant with the training given.
* Ensure adherence to 5S in the department.
* Transfer to other areas of the department as and when requested.
* Ensure that the department’s machines are kept in good working condition. Report any major maintenance issues immediately.
* Responsibility to ensure compliance with the Health & Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and Regulations made under that Act which are relevant to site activities.
* Ensuring compliance with the Company Safety, Health and Environmental Policies.
* Ensure all PPE is worn at all times where applicable.
* The Extrusion of PTFE and/or other materials.
* Work is mainly manual handling, some of which is heavy.
Skills/Experience:
Qualifications:
* Good level of numeracy and general education.
* Basic knowledge of computers.
Experience:
* Manufacturing background and understanding of manufacturing process.
* Self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic and have a keen eye for detail.
* Focused on target completion and proven ability to achieve results.
Behaviours:
* Must possess a positive working attitude.
* Ability to work well as part of team and communicate with other workers.
