Danny Sullivan Group are currently looking for a Site Agent for a role with a Tier 1 contractor working on substation projects in Scotland. Projects are based along the North Coast of Scotland and they are looking for candidates to lodge away from home. Package will include accommodation, travel and subsistence. Client has 10 years of work secured on a variety of electrical frameworks delivering substation projects. Responsibilities: Manage all on-site activities, ensuring adherence to health & safety, environmental, and quality standards Oversee civil engineering works associated with substation builds (including foundations, cable trenches, access roads, and control buildings) Lead site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to deliver the project to programme and budget Liaise with project managers, engineers, designers, and the client to coordinate work Monitor progress, produce reports, and manage risk on site Drive a strong safety culture across all activities Ensure compliance with CDM regulations and company procedures Support and mentor junior staff and site engineers Experience/qualifications: Proven experience as a Site Agent (or Senior Engineer ready to step up), ideally in substation or power-related civil works Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and construction processes Relevant qualifications – HND/HNC or degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management SMSTS, CSCS (Black/Gold), First Aid Experience working in a live electrical environment or with DNO/Transmission clients (e.g., SSEN, SP Energy Networks, National Grid) is highly desirable Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel/stay away as needed This is an excellent opportunity for someone to join a growing team with a guaranteed pipeline of work on substation/energy projects in Scotland.
