Job Role: Service Manager (Forklift Industry)
Location: Brackley, Northamptonshire
Salary: £55,000-£65,000 per annum
Hours: 8:00-17:00 Monday-Friday - flexible hours available
Job Type: Full time, Permanent

The Duties:
1. To lead and upskill an efficient service team within the forklift industry, leading both the workshop and field service teams effectively to ensure all breakdowns and servicing is carried out efficiently to generate as much revenue and profit for the company.
2. Oversee the daily scheduling for the field service team, providing occasional emergency cover when necessary to ensure services are carried out within timescale.
3. Be the point of contact for customer technical support, diagnosing, documenting and resolving issues where required, taking ownership of customer relationships.
4. Liaising and working with the service team to actively discuss and implement ways to improve efficiency within the business.
5. Oversee and take responsibility for the service teams performance, taking accountability for an array of performance metrics, including first fix rate, resolution time, customer satisfaction and profitability, whilst carrying out performance reviews and leading the recruitment process when hiring for the team.
6. Manage relationships within the business, assisting the Customer Service, Sales, Warehouse and HR teams where required to aid company performance.
The Requirements:
1. Previous experience leading a service team within the Forklift, Plant and/or Automotive industries (essential)
2. Previous experience being hands on within these industries, carrying out mechanical/electrical fault finding, service and repair (essential)
3. Hands on management/leadership style and happy to assist the service team out in the field where required (essential)
4. Proven ability to increase performance and efficiency of a service team (advantageous)
5. Relevant qualifications NVQ or City and Guilds in mechanical/electrical engineering (advantageous)
6. Full UK Drivers License
