We are currently seeking to recruit a Learning Support Assistant (in ‘general’ capacity and/ or based on SEND-based experience) - on a temporary basis until the end of the 2024-2025 academic year.St Bartholomew’s is a large and diverse primary school, with two and half classes per year group - approximately 75 children - thereby necessitating a mixed year group class within each ‘phase’ throughout the school. The school is experiencing wider SEND considerations and a higher proportion of social, emotional needs, such that we continue to enhance our provision and pastoral care - both for our pupils and the staff team.
The successful candidate should demonstrate: a flexible approach and the adaptability to cope with the different demands of the job;
an ability to develop effective working relationships, in particular with our team of learning support staff and teachers;
the skills to maintain a calm, purposeful environment with the patience and understanding to enable positive reinforcement of behaviour and the inclusion of all our children;
their aspiration for the personal achievement of all learners within the school community.
