The Commercial Finance Business Partner is part of the Commercial team reporting to the Commercial Director with a dotted line to the Finance Director. Following a recent merger, they are entering an exciting phase of growth, making this a critical hire to support commercial decision-making at the highest level Description As the Group Commercial Business Partner, you will: Partner closely with the Commercial Director to provide financial insight and commercial decision support. Lead financial modelling, investment appraisals, and business case development for new commercial opportunities. Support contract negotiations and tenders, ensuring financial viability and risk assessment. Manage and evaluate the financial performance of large-scale contracts (c. £100m in value). Provide clear, actionable insights to senior stakeholders to support strategic decision-making. Assess pricing structures, cost efficiencies, and return on investment for new business opportunities. Work cross-functionally with finance, operations, and procurement teams to drive commercial outcomes. Analyse financial trends, risks, and opportunities to improve business performance. Influence business planning by identifying financial efficiencies and process improvements. Play a key role in shaping the financial strategy for the next 2-3 years as the business continues to expand. Profile The Successful Group Commercial Finance Manager will have - Fully qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) with strong commercial finance experience. Proven track record in financial modelling, investment appraisal, and decision support. Experience working on bids, tenders, and contractual agreements (local authority experience is a plus). Strong commercial awareness - able to understand key business drivers and financial risks. A confident communicator who can challenge, influence, and build strong stakeholder relationships. High level of resilience, adaptability, and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Background in service sectors, healthcare, or multi-site organisations is desirable.
