With a strong reputation for excellence, we are expanding our operations and seeking a visionary Operations Director to join our dynamic leadership team.
The Role:
As the Operations Director, working alongside fellow Directors and Shareholders, you will play a pivotal role in leading the change management programme and shaping the strategic and operational direction of our practice. You will also oversee the day-to-day operations, ensuring optimal efficiency, regulatory compliance, and the delivery of high-quality client service. This is a key leadership position, reporting directly to the Managing Director and contributing to the overall growth and success of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
* Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the firm’s mission, values, behaviours and growth objectives.
* Operational Management: Oversee the refinement of workflow, resource allocation systems, and technologies to drive efficiency and productivity, working closely with the IT and Innovation team.
* Team Leadership and Development: Line management responsibility for Operational Departmental Managers and delivering on KPI’s. To lead, mentor, and inspire teams across departments to achieve excellence throughout.
* Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure the practice adheres to all regulatory standards and maintains the highest levels of service quality.
* Client Relationship Management: Facilitate the skills, techniques and tools required to maintain and strengthen client relationships across the business, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.
* Financial Oversight: Working with the financial team, manage budgets, monitor financial performance, and identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth.
* Change Management: Drive and manage change initiatives to improve processes and enhance operational capabilities.
About You:
To excel in this role, you should possess:
* Proven experience and track record in a senior operational role, ideally within an accountancy practice or similar professional service.
* Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate.
* Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
* A strategic mind-set with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
* Sound knowledge of accountancy practice operations, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* A relevant professional qualification ACA, ACCA or equivalent is preferred but not essential.
