Job Title: Systems Engineer - Product Security
Location: Warton / Hybrid
Salary: £47,683 - £52,426 (Commensurate with skills and experience)
What you’ll be doing:
1. Supporting engagement with the GCAP International Government Organisation (GIGO) as required across the engineering lifecycle to meet the Secure by Design policy objectives
2. Supporting the Engineering Disciplines, contributing to achieving assurance to the GIGO, ultimately achieving a Security Authority to Operate for the GCAP System
3. Identifying the MOD's requirements for assurance of the GCAP system
4. Creating a plan of how these requirements will be addressed within and across the programme
5. Managing and acting as the internal review for the assurance deliverables
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
1. Degree educated in a STEM discipline or HND/HNC or time-served experience with a clear understanding of the Engineering Lifecycle
2. Experience in Systems Engineering
Desirable:
1. Knowledge of security accreditation/assurance processes and activities, although knowledge of airworthiness or quality processes may be beneficial
2. Knowledge of Model Based Engineering approaches and the supporting methods and toolsets
The Product Safety Team:
Exciting and rewarding opportunities for Product Security Assurance Engineers have arisen within the Product Safety Team at BAE Systems. This new and evolving area will place the successful candidates at the cutting edge of designing best practices for delivering and assuring secure products on the GCAP program, to the MOD.
The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem solver with excellent communication and IT skills. You will have the ability to coordinate and manage programmes, forging relationships with all stakeholders and with experience delivering to customer requirements within timescales and budgets.
