Job Summary
Hi! We’re a home-educating family looking for a passionate, creative, and kind-hearted teacher to become part of our little learning adventure. Our two children (aged 8 and 9) are full of curiosity and excitement, and we’re looking for someone who can nurture their love of English, Maths, and Science through engaging, hands-on, and interactive learning.
We believe education should be fun, flexible, and focused on the whole child, not just the curriculum. That’s why we’d love to find someone who brings learning to life in a way that makes our children ask questions, explore, and truly enjoy their education.
What We’re Looking For
We’d love to welcome a teacher who is:
* Passionate about working with children and making learning fun
* Experienced in primary education (QTS is great, but experience and creativity matter most!)
* Skilled at creating engaging lessons that adapt to each child’s interests and learning style
* Patient, friendly, and nurturing, able to build positive relationships with children
* Open to running occasional workshops for other home-educated children, focusing on education, well-being, and mental health (this isn't a must but if you would like to, the opportunity would be there for extra hours)
The Role
Teaching English, Maths, and Science in a fun, engaging, and interactive way
* Using practical activities, outdoor learning, and creative projects
* Encouraging curiosity, problem-solving, and critical thinking
* Providing a supportive and inspiring learning environment
* Becoming part of our home-ed family and making learning something to look forward to!
Beyond the Classroom – Mental Health & Well-Being Focus
I’m the founder of Stable Minds CYP CIC, an organisation dedicated to supporting children’s mental health and well-being. If you’re interested, there’s an exciting opportunity to develop and deliver extra workshops for other home-educated children, focusing on:
* Mindfulness and emotional well-being
* Building confidence and resilience
* Outdoor learning and nature-based education
This isn’t essential, but if mental health and well-being are something you’re passionate about, we’d love to collaborate!
Why Join Us?
* Small class size – just two lovely kids eager to learn
* A relaxed and supportive home-learning environment
* Freedom to be creative with your teaching
* Opportunity to run well-being-focused workshops through Stable Minds CYP CIC
* Term-time only – perfect for work-life balance
Interested?
If this sounds like the perfect fit for you, we’d love to hear from you! Drop me a message with a bit about yourself, your experience, and why you think you’d be a great addition to our learning family.
Let’s create a fun, enriching, and mentally healthy learning experience together!
