Are you a compassionate and skilled professional looking to make a difference in the lives of children with disabilities?
Join a dedicated team as the registered respite manager for a Short Breaks Service offering residential respite for children aged 4-18 years with autism, complex health needs, and/or complex behaviour.
About the service: The service is Ofsted and CQC registered, offering parents and carers the opportunity to recharge their batteries, knowing their child is in a safe and stimulating environment. Their priority is putting children first, ensuring they can enjoy their childhood despite their complex needs.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the respite home.
2. Ensure a highly structured and safe environment for children.
3. Develop and implement person centred care plans.
4. Lead and support a team of skilled staff, including nurses.
5. Engage children in activities that promote their well-being and happiness.
6. Ensure compliance with Ofsted and CQC regulations.
Requirements:
1. Significant experience in a similar role within a residential care setting.
2. Strong leadership and team management skills.
3. Ability to make clinical decisions under pressure.
4. Excellent communication and organisational skills.
5. Flexibility to meet the needs of the service.
