Would you like to work for an award-winning charity known for being a great place to work? (Best Companies / Investors in People). They’ve launched a new service supporting ex-offenders in the community, helping them rebuild their lives. It’s a fantastic approach to rehabilitation, creating a welcoming and supportive environment. For example, there are wellness rooms, a gym, a music studio, pool tables, and even doughnuts and news debates on Wednesdays. It’s the kind of place where you could happily spend an afternoon with a book. This is a wonderful setting where you’ll provide support to your clients. In addition to engaging in the activities above, you’ll work with a caseload of clients, delivering 1:1 sessions to help them: Access housing and benefits Register with a GP and dentist Enroll in training courses Receive light-touch employment support Develop essential life skills such as budgeting, cooking, and general wellness You may also provide support to clients at local probation services. This is exactly how rehabilitation should be done, and the project is truly inspiring. Who We're Looking For: To apply, you must have experience working in criminal justice—perhaps as a prison officer, resettlement officer, or probation officer. Alternatively, you might have experience in 1:1 support roles, such as a project worker, support worker, hostel worker, employment advisor, careers advisor, job coach, or recruitment consultant. If you're a criminology graduate looking for your first career step, we welcome applications, provided you have some relevant experience (paid or voluntary).
