Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team as a Project Coordinator. This is a dual-purpose role supporting both the day-to-day business development activities of the team (40%), while also facilitating delivery of a major transformational infrastructure project – ‘Project Emerald’ (60%). Project Emerald will see the NML relocate from its current home in Teddington to a new purposed-designed facility on the Surrey Research Park in Guildford.
You will work alongside Programme/Project Managers and the Programmes Coordinator to ensure effective planning, management and delivery of our commercial services and special/CI projects. You will also work in conjunction with the Project Emerald core team supporting workstream leads across areas including design and build, IT, people, move logistics, and communications.
Key Responsibilities
Project Emerald:
* Ownership of key Project Management tool (Smartsheet), to ensure that project data is kept up to date and accurate.
* Coordination of project updates from workstream leads and other key stakeholders.
* Supporting reporting of project outcomes to the Project Emerald Teams and Executive Leadership Team.
Business Development activities:
* Support the Programmes & Commercial Management team to effectively manage various commercial projects
* Additional administration and general support to the Programmes & Commercial Management Team
* Assist Project Managers with planning and updating project information on the company’s ERP system (IFS), CRM system (Salesforce), and contract management system (IronClad).
* Assist project managers with continuous improvement activities
* Monitoring of government procurement portals and calls for tenders to identify potential business opportunities.
* Organise meetings and take minutes (after training)
Qualifications
Knowledge, Experience and Technical Skills
* Strong IT skills (competent in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint))
* Proven ability to work to deadlines.
* Good interpersonal skills and ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders.
* Excellent organisational skills, including meticulous record keeping and attention to detail.
* Strong prioritisation skills with the ability to manage competing demands.
* Able to multitask and complete work to tight deadlines.
