Responsibilities
* Assist in development of Pricing models, rate change reporting and portfolio management reviews across Specialty Property and Specialty Casualty classes.
* Assist the business planning process.
* Assist in various analytics to support business.
* Take ownership and develop processes, ensuring all reconciliations and governance are in place.
* Develop positive working relationship with key stakeholders including Underwriters, Executive Management, Reserving, Capital, Claims teams as well as third parties.
* Provide support and gain experience across all actuarial disciplines, as required.
* Develop commercial understanding of the insurance market, with focus on Lloyd’s business.
Qualifications
* University degree in Mathematics, Statistics or an analytical discipline
* Desire to pursue an actuarial qualification
* Strong technical skills, analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Strong communication and people management skills
* Self-starter, curious, proactive and with the ability to develop, recommend and implement new approaches
* Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills, able to establish credibility with senior underwriters
* Undertake all work in a professional and effective manner. A “can do” solution driven working style.
* Good knowledge of programming languages such as Python, R, SQL. Knowledge of Excel and Power BI.
* General understanding of other Microsoft software.
