We need organised and passionate individuals who want to support andfacilitate Community Groups for autistic adults in their local community - specifically at our Craft Group in Winchester (members bring along their own crafts so there is no teaching required).
Ourgroups are designed to help autistic adults to meet in a welcoming andnon-judgmental setting. We need friendly and caring volunteers to make thishappen.
What you will be doing?
Full training forthe role will be provided with a three month induction period and then regularquarterly training sessions:
* Welcome new members to the group and help themsettle in.
* Support members to participate in groupactivities.
* Help make suggestions about new groupactivities.
* Help send feedback about the group to AutismHampshire staff.
* Keep an accurate record of attendance at thegroup.
* Report any concerns to Autism Hampshire staff.
Winchester Community Group runs twice a month on aSunday from 3pm - 4.30pm.
Whilst we value regular commitment, you will be joining a team, so youdo not need to be available for every session. Please make your availabilityknown to Autism Hampshire staff when registering your interest.
