Key Responsibilities of a SEN Teaching Assistant:
* Provide one-on-one support to students with SEN, assisting with their educational and personal development.
* Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons tailored to the individual needs of students.
* Foster a supportive and nurturing learning environment, promoting independence and confidence.
* Collaborate with colleagues and external professionals to implement tailored support plans for students with SEN.
* Maintain accurate records of student progress and behaviour, contributing to comprehensive assessments and reports.
Requirements of a Teaching Assistant:
* Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, preferably with SEN experience.
* A genuine passion for working with children and young people, with a patient and empathetic approach.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.
* Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to thrive in different educational settings.
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools) are desirable but not essential.
