Our Head Office teams are the behind-the-scenes brilliance that keeps our frontline crew moving, our customers happy, and our growth on track. We are recruiting for a Health & Safety Specialist to join our team, reporting to the Health and Safety Lead for Engineering & Maintenance (E&M). This entry-level role involves supporting the development and maintenance of health and safety systems while actively participating in safety management activities.
In this role, you will administer the health and safety of engineering and maintenance activities, ensuring compliance, and steering investigations related to safety incidents. Key tasks include conducting audits, assessments, and maintaining continuous oversight of safety practices across easyJet, providing advice and guidance on health and safety matters, and supporting corrective actions where necessary.
You will assist in producing periodic health and safety performance reports, investigate incidents, and deliver project work aligned with our health and safety plan. This role offers the opportunity to actively contribute to a safe working environment across our pan-European operations, including line stations and hangars.
What you need to do this role
Although not essential, it would be desirable to have experience in Health and Safety with a strong understanding of environmental management, auditing, and inspections. Experience in high-risk industries such as construction, manufacturing, aviation, or engineering, with knowledge of property management and safety systems, is beneficial. You should be skilled in managing complex stakeholder relationships and confidently communicate technical matters to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Proficiency in Microsoft applications, a thorough understanding of Health and Safety legal requirements, and the ability to perform effectively under pressure are essential. A passion for driving Health and Safety initiatives is key. The role also requires travel across our UK network, especially in the north of the UK, so flexibility is important.
If this sounds like you, and you're ready to take on a challenging role where you can make a real impact on Health and Safety across our UK network, we'd love to hear from you.
What you’ll get in return
* Up to 20% bonus
* 25 days holiday
* BAYE, SAYE & Performance share schemes
* Life Assurance
* Flexible benefits package
* Excellent staff travel benefits
Location & Hours of Work
This is a full-time 40-hour per week position. We support hybrid working and there is a requirement for Network travel for this role (with a strong focus in the north of the UK) so flexibility is key.
