Senior PMO Lead
Location: Hybrid (Head Office, West Bromwich)
Salary: c. £55,000per annum
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 35 hours per week 09.00 17.00, Monday Friday
We are looking to recruit a Senior PMO Leadto work towardsthe societies Transformation Programme. The post holder will deliver the Next Gen West Brom business strategy definition, which will include implementing a new Cloud based technology platform which will underpin the execution of our ambition to help customers and communities own a more secure future.
Key responsibilities are:
* Establish the Programme Management Office to deliver the transformation programme, working collaboratively with Partner PMO Office.
* Track and monitor the performance of the Programme by accurately reporting the status of the workstreams to inform decisions and/or actions to ensure the progression of projects and performance of the Portfolio is maintained.
* Ensure the Programme is operating within the Governance Framework as outlined with the Central PMO team.
* Create and Maintain Programme Level Plan with key milestones and dependencies to deliver the Programme outcome.
* Implement and manage Programme wide Risk Management Framework and produce data to support Identification/ mitigation and resolution of Programme wide Risks and Issues.
* Management and reporting of Programme wide dependencies and external dependencies to other portfolios within the Society.
* Manage the creation of Management Packs for Steering Committee, Business Design Authority and Technical Design Authority to a high standard of quality and review minute production.
* Manage the consolidation of programme resourcing data and production of the associated MI. Ensuring optimal resource utilisation and identifying any resource contentions and working with central PMO to resolve.
* Ensure the consistent application of the Change Management Framework in line with the Change Risk Framework through the implementation of project approach meetings, health checks and gateway reviews on programmes and projects in line with the outcome of the project complexity assessment.
* Work with central PMO team to implement ongoing process improvements to ensure the project governance framework remains efficient and agile in line with the organisations delivery requirements.
* Co-ordinate identification of operational risks and the application of the appropriate controls.
* Support the development of Governance Forum papers production and administration / minutes etc.
The skills and experience required are:
* Good understanding of project management methodologies such as Agile and Prince II.
* Full project and/or programme lifecycle knowledge.
* Advanced level of competency with Microsoft products, including MS Project, Visio, Excel & PowerPoint.
* Ability to absorb complex information and understand the finer details quickly.
* Highly numerate and literate.
* Creative and innovative approaches to solving complex problems.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to communication to a wide variety of stakeholders.
* Project Management Certification and/or Agile certification desirable (e.g. PRINCE2, Scrum Master).
