There exists an exciting opportunity to join the within BMS’s Innovative Medicines Business Unit working in Dermatology with the aim of improving & transforming the lives of patients, their families & the NHS.

Role Specification:
1. This is a newly created senior sales role, fully responsible and accountable for strategic account planning, sales execution and local market access. This will be a highly autonomous role in which you will be expected to take full responsibility for the planning and delivery of your sales and access objectives.
2. You will draw on the cross functional team members to capitalise on their insight and experience, adopting a “One team” mindset. However, you will view your territory as your own business. You will lead on local business strategy and will have significant decision-making responsibility that will require a high degree of business acumen, allied to a deep understanding of our therapy area and evolving NHS environment.
3. You will you engage and deliver a true omnichannel experience for customers, proactively deploying appropriate channels and marketing mix to deliver a sequential tailored sales call, using customer experience data and digital asset analysis to target commercial performance with right HCPs at the right time through the right channel.

4. You will demonstrate ability to execute your sales and access account plan to achieve your territory sales objectives
5. Continuously absorb, interpret and deliver complex clinical data
6. You will be accountable for analysis of key challenges within your account, leveraging opportunities and driving change to deliver end to end customer-centric service from pathways to promotion
7. You will have exceptional key account management skills, where you will deliver on sales ambition through execution of your tailored strategic account plans
8. Demonstrate comprehensive and in-depth environment and competitor analysis skills
9. You will need to be able to localise and execute national marketing strategy to change behaviours, adapt to customer segments, leveraging the suite of omnichannel initiatives to enhance your sales call
10. Ability to tailor your calls to customer segments, sharing insights and advocacy with BMS colleagues in order to provide rich peer to peer engagement to achieve the overall desired business outcome
11. Identify and co create pathway solutions with internal and external customers that resolve pain points, local issues, bottle necks and barriers
12. Form strategic relationships with customers and stakeholders at all levels in your territory
13. Translate insights to strategic actions informing payer Value Proposition
14. Ensure formulary access and enablers eg Blueteq and protocols are in place
Disease Knowledge & Selling Expert
15. Be confident and effective working via digital/ virtual interface, and face to face
16. Be disease expert in our specific field, with very high clinical, product & disease knowledge with the ability convey that knowledge to improve the lives of patients with BMS products.
17. Ability to access key stakeholders remotely & face-to-face, understand their needs & change their behaviour by delivery benefits of BMS products to improve the lives of patients.
18. Become an expert in BMS Value Selling Model.

19. Understand & adhere to all BMS policies and work in accordance with the ABPI (or IPHA) code of practice.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience
Essential
22. Experience in Immunology market
23. Understanding of the UK healthcare system and Pharmaceutical industry
24. Demonstrated success in pharmaceutical sales and/or local market access
25. Proven track record of Key Account Management and/or market access
26. Strong analytical and numerical skills
27. Able to work in a hybrid (virtual and F2F) capacity with customers to drive outputs
28. Degree educated (or equivalent)
29. ABPI qualification (or equivalent)
30. Computer literate –in Word, Excel, Email, Internet, and ability to pick up new in-house systems
31. Current UK driving licence (or equivalent)
32. Living on or near territory
Desirable
33. Launch experience, introducing new medicines into NHS or equivalent
34. Launching via spec comms or ICS reimbursed low-vol/high-cost products
35. Negotiation skills or advance consultative selling model skill sets.
