About the Role:
As a PSHE teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons that promote the well-being, emotional health, and personal development of students. You will guide students in developing the skills and knowledge to lead healthy, responsible lives while preparing them for the challenges they will face both academically and in their personal lives. The role offers the opportunity to create a positive and supportive environment that encourages students to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan and deliver engaging PSHE lessons that promote personal, social, and emotional development.
2. Develop a curriculum that covers key topics such as mental health, relationships, personal safety, citizenship, and emotional resilience.
3. Foster an inclusive classroom environment where students feel safe, valued, and supported.
4. Assess student progress and provide feedback to encourage further development.
5. Work closely with colleagues to ensure that PSHE is integrated across other areas of the curriculum.
6. Engage with parents and carers to provide updates on student progress and well-being.
7. Contribute to school-wide initiatives that promote a positive school culture.
Ideal Candidate:
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
2. Experience teaching PSHE or similar subjects.
3. A genuine passion for promoting student well-being and personal development.
4. Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
5. Ability to create an engaging and inclusive learning environment.
6. A proactive approach to fostering emotional resilience and mental health awareness in students.
7. Experience working with students of various ages (primary or secondary) is desirable.
