Job summary The Norwich Triage team currently has a vacancy for a Community/Urgent Community Response Triage Nurse. The Triage Hub is the starting point of the patient journey into community services, we take great pride in our work and always aim to do the best for our patients. We area small and friendly team of nurses who triage patient referrals from across the Norwich area.The Community Triage Nurse is a pivotal role within the Triage Hub and is essential in ensuring patient flow across the service. Main duties of the job You should be competent and have evidence-based knowledge of a wide array of nursing interventions to be able to triage effectively. Supporting and coaching patients via telephone is also part of the role, therefore proficient telephone and IT skills are important. Although experience of Triage would be an advantage it is not essential as full training will be provided. The role allows for development of enhanced assessment skills with clinical judgement being at the forefront.
