Are you the person who can support individuals to live independently in their own home whilst promoting a safe, healthy, and secure living environment? It is your personality that matters most with this role; you will be friendly, patient, able to interact and build relationships, and overcome communication barriers. You will be happy to integrate into their lives and help with all aspects of daily living, which can even include accompanying them on holidays and at social events! You'll also encourage those you support to build their own social network and interact with families and friends.
A small cohort of our individuals who live in our supported living homes have the capability to lead and live independent lives; your support will help enable them to maintain their independence and live their best life. The role may include elements of personal care.
If you are kind and compassionate, patient, and friendly, then you will make the perfect support worker - no experience is required and full training is given. We are keen to speak to you.
In Scotland, all care staff are required to register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC), the regulator for the social service workforce in Scotland. You must maintain your registration with SSSC and ensure your annual renewal is completed. You must also work towards your SVQ2, which Cera will fund; however, there will be an SVQ registration fee payable by the employee.
