Social Video Producer (freelance)

MailOnline is seeking Social Video Producers to transform compelling news and pop culture stories into engaging social video content for TikTok and Facebook.
Candidates will source, edit, and publish video content from our London newsroom, telling popular stories to millions of followers around the world. You will have your finger on the pulse of trending topics that resonate with our target audience on our social platforms.
As part of our global Social Video team, your insights, creativity, and understanding of what people are talking about will shape our video output, ensuring MailOnline remains the number one news brand on social media. Specialisms in topics including Sport, Crime, Politics, Showbiz and Lifestyle content are welcome but not strictly necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
* Source, script, and produce video content for social media platforms.
* Write engaging copy to boost audience engagement and retention.
* Gather performance data to help shape and refine content strategies.
* Collaborate with teams across the company to create popular video content.
* Stay ahead of the curve with the latest trends on social media platforms.
Required skills and qualities:
* Expert video editor with a passion for storytelling.
* Highly skilled using Adobe Premiere or CapCut. After Effects is an advantage.
* Familiarity with Daily Mail’s video content on social.
* Experience creating content for social media accounts.
* Flexibility and adaptability to match the dynamic nature of a busy newsroom environment.
