We are now looking for a Field Services and Estates Worker to join us on a full-time, fixed-term contract for two years, working 37 hours per week, Monday to Thursday from 7:30am to 4:00pm, and Friday from 7:30am to 3:30pm.

The Role
As a Field Services and Estates Worker, you will be responsible for maintaining public paths, land, and property within Exmoor National Park.
Specifically, you will install and maintain countryside furniture, including signs, gates, and bridges, as well as carrying out vegetation management, drainage repairs, and general estate maintenance.
Additionally, you will:
9. Operate and maintain machinery such as chainsaws, tractors, mowers, and diggers
10. Construct and repair countryside furniture in the Exford workshop
11. Carry out safety inspections and ensure compliance with risk assessments and COSHH regulations
12. Work closely with Rangers and colleagues to deliver high-quality maintenance projects
13. Communicate with landowners and the public, explaining work being carried out
14. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, interns, and students
About You
To be considered as a Field Services and Estates Worker, you will need:
15. Experience in estate or countryside maintenance, outdoor groundworks, or carpentry
16. Competence in operating and maintaining mechanical equipment such as chainsaws, strimmers, tractors, mowers, and diggers
17. Geographical knowledge of Exmoor National Park
18. Knowledge of safe working practices and risk management
19. Good communication skills, with the ability to mentor junior team members
20. Basic literacy and numeracy to follow instructions and maintain records
21. A full, valid driving licence
