Quantity Surveyor sought, Plymouth. Build Maintain Recruit require a Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a client of ours, a tier 1 Contractor embedded within a secure facility in the Southwest. You will be joining a business within in excess of 100 years trading history, delivering complex schemes in the region. As a QQS, or SQS, you will be utilising an NEC contract working alongside a SQS / Commercial Manager on site with flexibility toward hybrid working there on. Some key deliverables, Manage Costs Ensure all contracts, up and down supply chain, are fit for purpose Provide Cash Flow Forecasts Measurement and valuations of works for applications, variations and final accounts with both clients and suppliers Identify & notification of Early Warnings and Compensation Events CVR creation and management Establishment and chair of monthly project reviews Managing the dispute and defects process with the Client Attend Client progress meetings Follow procedures for Client Work Approval Post Audit of works commercially Manage Invoicing and Debts Effective Communication with all levels of personnel Supply chain management Provide innovative ideas and continuous improvement What you’ll need to succeed, Previous experience in a Quantity Surveyor or similar role - Essential A well-developed understanding of various forms of contract, in particular NEC3/4 - with the ability to apply these skills in a practical fashion to live projects - Essential A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or other related discipline (can be substituted by a relevant HNC and suitable experience); - Essential Good MS Excel skills including the use of look ups and pivot tables. - Essential In return, we are offering a competitive salary DoE (£35,000 - £60,000 per annum) plus package there on to include car / car allowance, pension, medical, 25 days AL, and various there on to include high-street discounts etc there on.
