Role Overview
As a Rural Business Advisor, you will play a key role in supporting the consultancy team, providing strategic guidance across various aspects of farm management and business development. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Conducting farm business appraisals and financial assessments
2. Advising on and implementing farming structures
3. Identifying and managing diversification opportunities
4. Preparing and submitting subsidy and rural grant applications
5. Advising on environmental schemes, including both public and private funding options
6. Conducting benchmarking and financial analysis
7. Assisting with farming tenders, including contract and share farming agreements
8. Developing budgets, cashflows, and financial reports
9. Overseeing and managing contract and share farming agreements
10. Collaborating with the land agency team on various projects
11. Providing insight into carbon and biodiversity opportunities
