Stoneacre Academy is looking to recruit a full-time Technical Tutor to be part of our dynamic team.
You will be reporting to the Group Academy Manager and Quality Assurance Manager, working in a team along with other managers, other administrators, and tutors / assessors. You will be working within a thriving and supportive department who work closely together to achieve the same goals.
Our Academy is the training arm of Stoneacre Motor Group, delivering excellent specialised training programmes to not only apprentices, but the whole group.

An average day as a Technical Tutor...
13. To plan, develop, deliver, assess, and evaluate high quality training programmes.
14. Deliver training and assess learners as part of their qualification to ensure a successful outcome in line with contractual requirements and targets. To stretch and challenge learners and show progression throughout their journey.
15. To set, assess and record learners work including practical assessment, assignments, examination and coursework assessments.
16. To carry out all theory and practical training and action planning with learners maintaining up to date and accurate learner and programme documentation including; teacher documents, training plans, registers and learner tracking.
17. Undertake health and safety checks for learners on programme.
18. To work as part of a team developing appropriate teaching and learning materials to support your learners.
19. To take an active part in the quality improvement systems and procedures contributing to the self-assessment and quality improvement plans.
20. To complete learner qualifications with a timely achievement and prepare learners for end point assessment.
21. To give comprehensive information, advice and guidance ensuring learners are given clear direction regarding the apprenticeship, job outcomes and careers within their chosen field.
22. To have excellent organisational and planning skills to ensure all deadlines met and internal MIS are maintained and up to date.
23. To be able to teach and deliver maths ad English to stretch and challenge exempt apprentices.
24. To deliver teaching and learning to apprentices on maths and English skills and knowledge to ensure they achieve functional skills at level 2.
About you…
25. Automotive/Technical qualification at Level 3
26. Master technician qualification desirable but not essential
27. Ideally Functional Skills or equivalent to level 2
28. F-Gas and electric vehicle qualifications desirable but not essential
29. Previous training experience not essential as full training will be given
30. Experienced vehicle technician with knowledge of modern-day vehicle systems and diagnostic procedures
31. Up to date knowledge of occupational competence areas
32. Proven experience of improving and maintaining quality and meeting deadlines
