Audit and Accounts Manager - Brighton
Are you ambitious, smart, and ready to shape your future? We are working with a dynamic and well-established accountancy practice in Brighton, seeking an Audit and Accounts Manager to join their expanding team.
The Role:
You'll be part of a respected firm that works with clients across various sectors, including charities and not-for-profits. As an Audit and Accounts Manager, you'll play a crucial role in developing the operational capabilities of the Charities team, enabling further growth. With a strong audit and technical background, you'll provide both hands-on support and managerial guidance to audit and accounting teams.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Take the technical lead within the Charities team, overseeing audit and compliance processes.
2. Collaborate with senior management to take on part of the Managing Director's portfolio.
3. Implement and manage audit plans in line with ISA315 standards.
4. Provide training and leadership to junior team members, developing their talents.
5. Hands-on involvement with client audits and preparation of financial statements.
What We're Looking For:
1. ACA qualified (or equivalent) with 5+ years of experience.
2. Strong background in audit with comprehensive accounting technical knowledge.
3. Experience working with IRIS, My Working Papers, and Xero software preferred.
4. Excellent communication skills with the ability to grow client relationships and identify new business opportunities.
5. Charity sector experience is a plus, but not essential.
6. Proven ability to manage and develop a team, while maintaining attention to detail.
