Remuneration: Session rate: £30 Home match rate: £40 Away match rate: £50 Role Summary: A very exciting opportunity has arisen at Portsmouth Football Club as we are seeking to recruit an innovative, forward thinking and hardworking pre-academy coach for our academy programme. As a coach, you will be responsible for coaching sessions with our U7 pre-academy cohort alongside other coaching staff, whilst falling in line with the coaching philosophy, vision and values of the academy and the club as a whole. Opportunities may arise to support the U8 programme at times throughout the season which include Saturday matchdays. Your responsibilities will include: The role w ill require you to travel to a variety of venues in and around the city of Portsmouth. Experience of working in a coaching capacity in a professional football environment and with young children (U6-U8) is desirable. Right to work in the UK and enhanced DBS check is essential. About The Candidate Your Skills and Experience The appointed coaches must have the: FA Safeguarding certificate Relatable First Aid in Sport certificate FA Emergency First Aid in Football (willingness to complete course ASAP after successful appointment – to be discussed at interview) FA Level 2 Certificate Desirable qualifications: UEFA ‘B’ Licence FA Youth Award Guidance to consider: Please consider the below before applying: Due to the requirements and the commitment the roles require, it is advisable that candidates live within commutable distance to the city of Portsmouth. Our pre-academy train between one and two times per week with occasional matchday fixtures – Monday/Tuesday evenings and Saturday mornings.
