What will you do?
This is an exciting opportunity for a Lead Civil Engineer, Drainage professional to join our Newcastle Drainage Team. You will apply your technical and leadership skills and provide mentorship to support junior engineers.
This will be the start of exploring more growth with a world-class company and various types and scales of projects within, but not limited to, NSW and ACT.
On a day-to-day basis, you will:
1. Lead the delivery of drainage design on major Transport/Land/Water infrastructure projects across NSW/ACT.
2. Optimise our design workflows to drive a coordinated and efficient digital delivery approach.
3. Collaborate across disciplines internally and externally with clients and public authorities to address technical queries and drive an optimum engineering solution.
4. Play a key role in the team’s growth with the provision of technical skills and teamwork culture.
5. Provide mentoring and training to the team across NSW/ACT and the Aurecon global drainage team.
As a Lead Civil Engineer, Drainage in the NSW Water Practice, you will act as a leader that adds to the diversity of thought, skills, and experience of the group. We know the work we do is vital in assisting our region’s sustainable economic development and it’s the technical expertise and depth of knowledge of our people that really sets us apart. In this role, you will ‘Bring Ideas to Life’ for Aurecon and our clients.
What can you bring to the team?
Firstly, you will share our genuine passion for re-imagining engineering and be someone who actively pursues continuous learning to help shape the future.
On a technical level, you will have:
* Hands-on and well-developed skills in 12D, DRAINS, and MUSIC.
* A deep hydrology and hydraulic technical knowledge.
* Technical excellence in delivery and well-honed experience in WSUD.
As the successful candidate, you will be experienced and confident in providing solutions to manage stormwater quality and quantity. As a senior member of the team, you will showcase strong internal and external stakeholder management skills, passion, and drive to supervise and mentor emerging team members. You will act as a lead or role model to the wider team. You will bring a can-do attitude and importantly, be a strong team player who works well in an agile and collaborative environment.
Degree qualified in Civil Engineering and Chartered member of Engineers Australia or close to being eligible to apply for chartership.
