Main duties of the job The Pre-registration trainee pharmacy technician apprenticeship is suited to those who are keenly interested in science and the treatment and physiology of common diseases and conditions. Working under the direction of registered Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians within multidisciplinary teams. Pre-registration trainee pharmacy technician apprentices will assist in the provision and preparation of medicines to meet the needs of all patients. Through your working practices you will apply respect and confidentiality, work well in a team, be courteous, and professional, maintain a safe working environment, contribute to the safeguarding of patients working accurately when preparing and dispensing medicines. This vacancy is advertised on a fixed term contract basis for a period of 24 months due to this being an apprenticeship/training programme. The fixed term contract status of the post holder will be reviewed in accordance with the Trust's legal obligations regarding fixed term contracts. A learner/applicant must be a UK, EEA, or EU resident for at least the past three years to undertake an apprenticeship training programme.
