We are seeking a Painter to join our team at HMP Eastwood Park, a closed category Women's prison.
Our team is more than just a group of colleagues - we work Monday to Friday as a supportive and driven family, creating a safe and nurturing environment for the women in our care.
The prison runs like a self-contained city, requiring hundreds of people to keep it functioning. As the Facilities Maintenance Team, we are committed to the smooth and safe operation of the facility. Everything we do impacts every prisoner, employee, and visitor, as well as their families and the wider community.
You will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced and passionate colleagues, including Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, other Painters, Cleaners, and Administrators, all dedicated to making a positive difference.
Working in a women's prison requires a special kind of person - someone who is patient, empathetic, and able to handle the emotional challenges that come with this unique environment.
If you are looking for a role where you can use your skills to create a better future for others, we encourage you to apply for this compelling opportunity.
Join us in our mission to promote rehabilitation and positive change and be part of a team that truly makes a difference.
We're five years young and growing in our provision of on-site solutions to the prison service and want applicants with:
1. A City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Painting and Decorating (or equivalent)
2. Experience working in a maintenance team
3. An honest and reliable character, who approaches their work with a sense of purpose and pace
If this sounds like you, we'd like to hear from you.
