Overview
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 + up to 10% bonus per annum, Company Car, plus Regional Allowance.
Working Location: Barking Riverside (East London) and Burgess Hill (Mid Sussex).

Responsibilities
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Carpentry Senior Trainer/Assessor to join our vibrant team! In this exciting role, you will collaborate closely with the Hub Manager to develop and deliver dynamic apprenticeship programs that truly resonate with learners and align with industry standards.
As a key player in our mission, you will ensure that our apprenticeship provision is not only effective but also impactful, shaping the future of the industry trades.
What you will be doing:
* Assist the Hub Manager by developing and delivering effective apprenticeship provision.
* Collate and prepare documentation to remain compliant with NHBC internal processes.
* Adhere to Ofsted & ESFA Regulatory requirements.
* Remain agile to apprenticeship opportunities and needs along with industry requirements while maintaining focus on End Point Assessment timelines.
* Promote and develop the business in other areas of the Commercial Services portfolio, including:
o Procedural training
o Health and safety training
o Technical and skills training
o Customer service/sales training
o Qualification programmes
o Other apprenticeship provision
o Short training courses, specific provision
* Ensure training is delivered in a time and cost-effective way.
* Represent the organisation at internal/external training and skills events.
* Liaise and consult with customers, outside agencies, and professional bodies to ensure apprenticeship qualifications and training programmes meet qualitative requirements.
* Maintain accreditations, including Ofsted, ESFA, and other awarding organisations, as appropriate.
* Regularly report progress & attendance through reviews with apprentices & employers.
* Support the management of quality/consistency of qualification and development programmes.
* Assess NVQ candidates as appropriate.
* Consult with customers to identify learning needs and adapt learning to accommodate within our SEND policy.
* Forge and maintain excellent relationships with suppliers and employers.
* Challenge behaviours and attitudes to enrich learners.
* Take appropriate actions with apprentices and employers to uphold our Employer Engagement Policy and Disciplinary Code.
* Be fully conversant with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio, and Windows operating systems.
* Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and a strong quality-driven ethos.
* Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to negotiate/communicate effectively at all levels.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the following areas:
* Verifiable site experience within site carpentry; Timber Frame, Modular Build, or Interior Fit Out experience is advantageous.
* Experience with writing and developing carpentry training syllabus.
* House building experience.
* Co-ordination and delivery of customer apprenticeship training and/or assessment to achieve qualitative and quantitative targets.
* Maintaining accreditations and quality assurance procedures.
* Excellent reporting skills and maintaining relationships with stakeholders.
Qualifications
* Qualified teacher (or working towards).
* Trade qualification to minimum L.2 site carpentry.
* English & maths qualification to the apprenticeship standard minimum, or above.
* Full driving licence.
* Position will be confirmed on successful completion of an Enhanced DBS check.
