The Opportunity
We are excited to announce a fixed-term maternity cover role within Keele University’s Placements and Projects Team. This position offers a unique chance to join the Directorate of Student Futures, a division dedicated to Careers & Employability, Global Opportunities, and Placements & Projects.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will join a dynamic team focused on supporting students in developing essential graduate attributes through experiential learning opportunities. This role involves guiding students in accessing and undertaking curricular and extra experiential activities. You'll provide tailored support and preparation to ensure students are well-equipped for the world of work.
Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate across faculties, schools, and professional services to maintain a consistent and complementary approach to experiential learning.
* Facilitate student access to a diverse portfolio of learning experiences, including live briefs, projects, and flexible delivery methods that align with student needs and school requirements.
* Expand experiential opportunities beyond traditional placements, ensuring alignment with current market trends and sector demands.
* Balance the needs of faculties, schools, employers, and students by working closely with Partnership Development Managers to source and map appropriate opportunities.
* Adapt to evolving markets and recruitment processes, using data insights to respond effectively to sector demands.
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate will have experience in the higher education sector, particularly in internships, placements, or experiential learning. Familiarity with relevant systems and a strong understanding of the broader experiential learning agenda are essential for expanding placement offerings.
