This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled engineer who is confident working independently and carrying out both routine servicing and quoted works. Main Responsibilities: Install, commission, and maintain a variety of fire alarm systems (addressable & conventional) Service and fault-find on CCTV, intruder alarms, access control, and emergency lighting Carry out planned maintenance and reactive callouts Complete job sheets and relevant paperwork electronically Travel to sites across the Midlands (local patch – minimal staying away) Liaise with clients and provide excellent customer service Test, service and maintain a range of fire safety systems, including: • Fire alarm systems • Emergency lighting • Fire extinguishers Complete remedial and quoted works to a high standard Ensure all work is fully compliant with current fire safety regulations Communicate clearly with clients, delivering excellent customer service on-site Accurately complete digital job reports, including asset registers and test results Liaise with internal helpdesk and management team to report on progress or issues Essential Requirements: Minimum 2 years’ experience in fire & security engineering Experience with leading brands (e.g. Honeywell, Texecom, Hikvision, Paxton) Full UK Driving Licence Good understanding of BS5839 and other relevant regulations Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills Ability to work alone or as part of a team High attention to detail and a professional approach on client sites Desirable Qualifications (Non-Mandatory): FIA units (or equivalent) in Fire Alarm Maintenance, Design, and Emergency Lighting Electrical or Fire & Security background (advantageous but not essential) Familiarity with digital reporting systems or CAFM platforms What’s In It For You?
