Applications are welcomed from dedicated and experienced Support Workers to join the Adult Learning Disabilities Services team on the beautiful Island of Guernsey, in the Channel Islands. The Service supports people with learning disabilities and autism in a variety of settings. These include residential homes, a short-break service, supported living and outreach. There is also an impressive purpose-built autism hub recently opened. Depending on your skills and knowledge there will be an opportunity for you to be offered a role in any one of these teams. Please note; Guernsey has adopted the AfC banding system, but have applied their own salary scales. The Guernsey Band 3 salary range is £27,950 to £30,926 and the Band 4 range is £31,966 to £37,967 plus an annual bonus of £1,605 and higher unsocial hours enhancements; 40% evening/Saturday and 80% Sunday/BH. Annual leave starts at 36 days up to 42 days with full credit for NHS service for annual leave and sick leave. The island of Guernsey is in the Channel Islands and has a population of 65,000. Person Requirements: All applicants will be expected to be; friendly and approachable, with an understanding pf person-centre care and support and to have patience and empathy when supporting Service Users.
