About this Role
As an Account Manager, you will play a key role in identifying customer requirements and delivering innovative, cost-effective solutions across a full range of flow, level, pressure, and temperature instrumentation. This is a field-based position covering the North East region of England, so you’ll need to be comfortable traveling to customer sites.
You’ll be responsible for managing existing accounts, building strong relationships, and driving growth through clear communication, technical expertise, and a customer-first mindset. A professional and responsive approach is essential to establishing credibility and fostering trust with clients.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and execute an annual sales plan aligned with regional and business unit goals
* Monitor and grow order intake, sales revenue, and profit margins
* Provide accurate business forecasts, including timing and probability of success
* Manage and expand customer relationships to ensure satisfaction and loyalty
* Deliver presentations and product demonstrations; represent the business at conferences and exhibitions
* Maintain up-to-date market intelligence and share insights with sales, marketing, and management teams
Requirements
* Experience selling process instrumentation equipment
* Background in account management or sales within the automation or process industries
* Diploma or degree in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g., electronics, instrumentation)
* Understanding of ISO 9001 and the Health and Safety at Work Act
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-focused mindset
* Self-motivated and results-driven, with a strong work ethic
* Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
* Valid UK driving license (required for travel)
* Familiarity with CRM systems and SAP (desirable)
