About Wei’s Malatang:
Wei’s Malatang is a restaurant chain offering high-quality Malatang and bubble tea. We are committed to providing delicious Chinese fast food and excellent customer service. As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a responsible and experienced Restaurant Manager to join our team. We offer flexible working hours, making it ideal for part-time workers, and for those who perform well, there are opportunities for advancement as a potential store manager. After being promoted to a store manager, there will also be an opportunity to apply for a T2 visa to continue working and developing in the UK.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Daily Operations Management:
• Oversee daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures. Ensure the restaurant opens on time and closes safely and smoothly.
• Manage inventory, including food and drink supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels and minimizing waste.
• Handle cash and electronic payments, ensuring accurate transactions and regularly performing cash checks.
• Supervise staff performance, ensuring work areas are clean and meet health and safety standards.
• Ensure all operations comply with company policies and health and safety regulations.
2. Back-of-House Work:
• Ingredient Preparation: Responsible for preparing ingredients, including washing, chopping, and storing vegetables, meat, and other ingredients.
• Cooking Malatang: Responsible for cooking Malatang, ensuring the broth and ingredients meet quality standards and ensuring timely food preparation.
• Making Bubble Tea: Prepare bubble tea, fruit teas, and other drinks according to standard recipes, ensuring the taste and quality of each drink.
• Maintaining Kitchen Hygiene: Ensure the kitchen equipment, ingredients, utensils, and workspaces are clean and meet food safety standards. Regularly check kitchen equipment and ensure it is functioning properly.
3. Staff Management:
• Recruit, train, and manage restaurant staff, ensuring they understand and adhere to work standards and company policies.
• Provide guidance and performance feedback to staff, regularly communicate with employees to improve team efficiency and morale.
• Organize and conduct regular staff training to ensure employees master skills such as Malatang preparation, bubble tea making, and customer service.
• Manage staff schedules to ensure adequate staffing during peak hours.
4. Customer Service:
• Ensure the restaurant maintains a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, providing excellent customer service at all times.
• Professionally handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback, resolving issues promptly and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Monitor customer feedback, regularly analyze reviews, and implement improvements to enhance service quality and product offerings.
• Assist servers and other team members to ensure fast and high-quality service for customers.
5. Inventory and Supplies Management:
• Regularly check inventory to ensure there is sufficient stock of ingredients and drinks.
• Handle ordering and procurement, ensuring timely delivery and quality of products.
• Monitor and control inventory to prevent food waste and stock shortages.
• Manage communication with suppliers to ensure timely stock updates and meet the restaurant’s needs.
6. Financial Management:
• Oversee financial performance, ensuring cost control is within budget.
• Regularly perform financial reporting and analysis, track revenue and expenses, and help optimize operational costs.
• Develop and manage budgets based on sales data and customer demand, ensuring expenditures are reasonable.
Job Requirements:
• Experience in restaurant management or bubble tea shop operations, familiar with relevant work processes.
• Proficient in back-of-house tasks such as ingredient preparation, chopping, cooking Malatang, and making bubble tea.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, able to efficiently manage and train staff.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, able to respond to emergencies and resolve issues quickly.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
• Able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Responsible, detail-oriented, and proactive in work.
Preferred Qualifications:
• A valid driver’s license.
• Fluent in Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese).
