Your new role
As a Production Team Leader, you will work closely with various teams to ensure the smooth execution of fabrication projects from design to delivery. Your responsibilities will include managing materials and schedules, liaising with customers, and providing technical expertise on design and production techniques. You will oversee material ordering and inventory management, serve as the primary point of contact for customers, and collaborate with design and production teams to develop new products or modify existing designs. Additionally, you will utilise 3D modelling software to create accurate models, develop and manage production schedules, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and product quality.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will need previous experience in a fabrication environment with strong knowledge of fabrication techniques, machinery, and tools. Proficiency in 3D modelling and CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) is essential. You should have a solid understanding of fabrication processes, experience in material ordering and inventory management, and the ability to manage production schedules and prioritise tasks. Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, and the capability to interpret technical drawings and specifications are also crucial. The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment is essential.
