Main Responsibilities:
1. Ensuring quality standards are maintained on all customer products produced on the production line.
2. Day to day maintenance of production equipment.
3. Ensuring all procedures/instructions etc. are adhered to, including the completion of all required documentation.
4. Working on production lines as the need is required.
5. Other duties as assigned.
Level of Authority:
In general, staff are given authority to fulfil their tasks and responsibilities. However, where appropriate, specific authorities are detailed below.
Authority to stop production if there is any indication of non-conforming product.
Skill Set Required:
1. Knowledge of all relevant company processes.
2. Knowledge of mechanical engineering principles.
3. Knowledge of electrical installation to a basic level.
4. Knowledge of pneumatic systems to a basic level.
5. Ability to work with other staff as part of a team.
6. Ability to use specialised machinery.
7. Knowledge of company objectives for the area.
8. An understanding of the importance and relevance of the role and how non-conformances will affect customers.
9. A practical knowledge of Health and Safety in and around the working environs.
10. A knowledge of 5S practice and Lean manufacturing.
